Location Recce

For my double page spread I want to create a collage of different images, which will illustrate a kind of story. the plain(ish) background links to the style of background I have used elsewhere in my magazine. Therefore, the target audience will be able to recognise an identity presented by the house style of the magazine.

 

 This style of background presents a running theme throughout my background as it is simple yet urban, which is the persona I want my magazine to illustrate. This type of background is often used by bloggers, so from my research, I understand that this is a popular background, which enhances the focal point of the image, such as the musician.

Typically a music magazine will use a blank background for the front cover, as it does not clash with the main image, graphics and cover lines. Therefore, I have used a plain white wall to correspond with the codes and conventions of magazine design. Also, the white relates to the colours mentioned during my questionnaire and focus group, meaning it will be a suitable location in relation to my target audience.
